Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0869211A2] To apply a continuous and intensive wetting action to fabric piecegoods, the fabric web (1) is soaked with water in an initial stage and, in a second stage, is covered by a blanket (4) moving with it to prevent water evaporation. The two layers are pressed against one or more closed and heated surfaces (5), with a surface temp. below the water boiling point.
