[origin: EP0869585A2] The plug rail (10) is secured to an electrically conductive carrier plate (20) with contact pins (13) fitting through an opening (24) in the carrier plate, for electrical connection with contact surfaces (33) of a printed circuit board (30) mounted on the opposite side of the carrier plate to the plug rail. The contact pins projecting from the plug rail on the first side of the carrier plate are enclosed by a screening element, which covers the opening in the carrier plate and which is in electrical contact with the carrier plate.
