The two end jaws (1,3) are joined by a spindle (6) producing clamping force, and have a middle jaw (2) between them. The spindle moves longitudinally in relation to the middle jaw. A helical spring (12) encloses the shaft of the spindle so as to drive the spindle in relation to the middle jaw towards the front end jaw positioned on the drive side of the spindle. A sleeve (8) movable coaxially in relation to the spindle and axially transmits force from the helical spring to the middle jaw. At least one spring-loaded catch comprising an axially movable slide piece transmits force from the sleeve to the middle jaw.

Das Flachspanngerät zum gleichzeitigen Einspannen mehrerer Werkstücke weist eine feste Mittelbacke sowie zwei durch eine längsverschiebbare Spindel verbundene Endbacken auf. Eine die Spindel umgebende Schraubenfeder drängt sie in Richtung ihrer Antriebsseite, um beim progressiven Anziehen der Spindel einen federbelasteten Druck auf mindestens ein zwischen der auf der entgegengesetzten Seite befindlichen Endbacke und der Mittelbacke eingesetztes Werkstück auszuüben bevor sämtliche Werkstücke durch die Kraft der Spindel zwischen den Backen fixiert sind. <IMAGE>
