The connection for the jaw holders is separate from the appliances producing clamping force and connects the movements of the jaw-holders so that the jaw-holders move in mirror-image formation in relation to a plane fixed in relation to the main body (7) of the holder. The connection has a swing-lever (24) swivelling on an axle at right angles to the clamping direction. The ends of the lever are each joined to a jaw-holder which can move in the clamping direction. A girder (23) acting as a connecting-rod is positioned between the ends of the lever and is linked to the lever and to the jaw-holder.

Die Flachspannhalterung besitzt zwei die Backen zum Einspannen des Werkstückes tragende Schieber welche gekoppelt sind um sich spiegelbildlich bezüglich einer zur Spannrichtung senkrechten Ebene zu bewegen. Dies verhindert ein Aufaddieren von einseitig wirkenden Fehlern in der Form des Werkstückes und der dieses bearbeitenden Werkzeugmaschine samt der darauf befestigten Halterung. <IMAGE>
