[origin: EP0870584A2] At least one processing system (1) consisting of at least one circularly rotating drum (4) with one or more tension pieces (5) on its periphery is positioned between a horizontally and straight moving supply conveyor (2) and a discharge conveyor (3). The processing system has at least one processing units (7,8) and at least one auxiliary conveyors (9,10). The tines (32) and the inbetween grooves (33) in the end connecting surface of a work piece (11), and the tines (32.1) and inbetween grooves (33.1) together forming the end connection (35) are arranged so that the tines and grooves from the end are curved or radially concave.
