The printing machine has a format cylinder and a raster roller per colour stage (3-8) on one side of the path of the material to be printed and a counter pressure cylinder on the other side. The colour stages each have associated individual drives with electric motors. Each drive's control unit (21) can be synchronized with the others via a control value system (22) and is connected to a common functional device (23) for monitoring, control and regulation.
