Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0870665A2] The axle has bearings at both sides, with outer rings fastened via pivot bearings to housing, bogie, etc. The pivot bearing rings are formed as turnable eccentrics (3) for horizontal and vertical adjustment of the axle relative to the bogie. Eccentrics on both sides can be adjusted opposite to each other. Each eccentric consists of injection moulded material, and has an inset conventional radial roller bearing (6). Each also has units for rotary adjustment through +- 180 deg, from a central rest position (O).
