[origin: EP0870714A1] The pair of contrary rotating folding rollers (11) is positioned crosswise to the feed direction of the sheets (7). A blade (2) driven with the same cycle guides the sheets between the pair of folding rollers. The speed or cycle time of the blade can be altered in relation to the speed of the sheets for processing different formats of sheets to be folded. The speed at which the conveyor (9,10) conveys the sheets to the folding rollers can be controlled or regulated.
