Abstract (en)
The luminaire has a trunk (10) to which an elongate batten (1) is detachably fastened. The trunk (10) can be coupled to an adjoining trunk (10') by means of a channel-shaped coupling piece (30). The coupling piece (30) has a top wall (31) and side walls (32) which have inwardly flanged portions (33) capable of gripping around the trunk (10). A pressure piece (36) present in the coupling piece (30) can be pressed against the top wall (11) of the trunk (10) by means of screws (34) in threaded holes (35) in its top wall (31). The pressure piece (36) may have side walls (37) which bear on the side walls (13) of the trunk (10) and may be permanently connected to the coupling piece (30). The luminaire is capable of withstanding comparatively high mechanical loads. <IMAGE>
