Abstract (en)
The hole punch has a tip (16) for penetrating the wall of a metal component and a body section (18) for enlarging and shaping it. The tip is basically in the shape of a flat blade with surfaces lying parallel to the lengthwise axis of the punch and edges coming to a point (20). The flat surfaces of the blade are joined to the body (18) of the punch by two sloping surfaces (24, 26) which are inclined in opposite directions and are offset relative to one another along its axis. The body of the punch can have a cross-section which is polygonal, e.g. square, or circular.

Le poinçon comprend une partie (16) de pénétration dans la paroi et une partie (18) de calibrage du trou. La partie de pénétration (16) a une forme générale de lame plane, sensiblement parallèle à un axe longitudinal (X) du poinçon, délimitée par un contour pointu formant un dièdre d'arête (20) sensiblement perpendiculaire à l'axe longitudinal (X). La partie de pénétration (16) est reliée à la partie de calibrage (18) par une partie de liaison (22) comportant deux surfaces formant rampes (24,26) d'inclinaisons opposées, la normale en chaque point de chaque rampe étant sensiblement parallèle à un plan parallèle à l'axe longitudinal (X) et à l'arête (20). <IMAGE>
