Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0872309A2] The wheel has bolts (10) which hold the impellers (6) in slots in the wheel sides (7,7') with countersunk heads (12) having at least two holes within the heads or recesses (14) spaced around the circumference of the head. A suitably shaped tool (20) is inserted and fits tightly into the holes or recesses for installation or removal of the bolts from outside the wheel. The holes or recesses can be evenly spaced around the head so as to allow the tool to be placed in a series of positions. The bolts can be of heat treated steel, preferably chromium steel with a hardness of at least 60 HRC.
