Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0872420A1] The folding revolver comprises a rotating part (12) and fixed support part (11) sealed against oil flow relative to each other. A thin sealing gap is formed between a sealing face (49) of the support part and a counter sealing face of the rotary part so that the counter sealing face moves past the sealing face (49) without contact. The passage of oil through the sealing gap is prevented through grooves (52,53,54) and/or channels in the area of the sealing face and/or counter sealing face. The oil in the sealing gap area is conveyed back into the oil-supplied area through the shape and/or arrangement of the grooves as a result of rotation of the rotary part. Individual selected areas of the rotary part and/or support part can be supplied through an oil circuit with small dosed amounts of oil preferably at rhythmic time intervals.
