The device includes a horizontal stack guide (5) along which a separating device (4) can be driven. The separating device is formed by two units (15,16) each having one spreading element (17,18) of an expanding device (19) which can be brought together with the other spreading element. The spreading elements (17,18) can be moved combined through mutual approach of the parts of the separating device (4) mounted one after the other on a guide assembly (14) parallel to the stack forming direction to the loading end (8) of the stack guide (5). In the stack separating position, the spreading elements can be moved between two printed sheets (2) through the support elements (20,21) of the support device (22) which can be driven into the stack (3) of printed sheets. The spreading elements can be combined and separated against a resetting force. They can swivel about a horizontal axis set across the stack guide (5).

Eine Vorrichtung zur Bildung eines sich senkrecht zu stehend aneinandergereihten Druckbogen (2) erstreckenden Teilstapels (1) durch Trennen von Druckbogen (2), die in geschuppter Formation zugeführt werden, besitzt eine etwa horizontale Stapelführung (5), entlang welcher eine aus zwei Einheiten (15, 16) gebildete Trenneinrichtung (4) antreibbar angeordnet ist, wobei die Einheiten (15, 16) jeweils ein mit dem anderen zusammenbringbares Spreizelement (17, 18) einer Spreizvorrichtung (19) und ein Stützelement (20, 21) einer Stützvorrichtung (22) aufweisen und mit einer Steuervorrichtung verbunden sind. <IMAGE>
