[origin: EP0872607A2] The component has a rectangular basic body with two long sides, where narrow sides, base and head surfaces are locate at right angles to basic body. On the base surface (5) and on the head surface (6) are complementarily formed connecting devices for adjacent structural components (1). The component has a high weight, guaranteeing its independent security. The connecting devices in the area of the head surface (6) are formed as projections (9) and as recesses (7) in the area of the base surface. The projection and the recess in each case have a trapezoidal cross-section. The connecting components in a longitudinal direction run parallel to the long sides (3). They have a width which is third of that of the narrow sides (4). They can also be arranged in the centre of the narrow sides. The length of the long sides is twice as large as that of the narrow sides. The basic body (2) has a length of preferably 1 mm, preferably 2 mm.
