The method involves a remote control (10) with an integrated and manually operated tripping device (15) in a safety cabinet (26) and preferably outside a building. A pipe leads to a safety shut-off valve (8) or/and to a gas-pressure regulator (7). The energy source is in the form of an inert gas, such as carbon dioxide (CO2), at a pressure very much higher than the gas pressure in the pipe (3).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Sichern einer mit Gas betriebenen Einrichtung (1) und insbesondere einer Gasheizung, zu der eine Gasleitung (3) führt. Der Kern der Erfindung besteht darin, daß die Gasleitung (3) in Strömungsrichtung vor der mit Gas betriebenen Einrichtung (1) mit Hilfe einer Fernbedienungseinrichtung (10) geschlossen wird. <IMAGE>
