Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0872924A1] An electrical power cable for equipment, is made in original fashion. The cable proper (3) carries an electric plug (for e.g. the wall socket) at one end, and a connector with terminals (25) at the other. These are for connection to other terminals belonging to the equipment, which are accessed through an opening in its external wall. This connector is fitted into the opening up to a peripheral guard flange (24), forming sealed contact with the external wall around the opening. A new procedure manufactures and fits the connector (22) to the cable. A rigid plastic is moulded to form a case (18) for the connector.
