[origin: WO9724940A1] A waterproof shoe has an upper layer (1), a lining (2) with a water-tight but water vapour-permeable functional layer, an insole (3) and a glued outsole. The waterproof shoe is characterised in that the functional layer-containing lining (2) has a lower end area folded inwards and arranged parallel to the outsole. The folded end area lies in the same plane as the insole (3) and has an inner edge . The outer edge of the insole (3) extends at least approximately parallel to the inner edge of the folded end area. The insole is joined to the folded end area and the outsole is glued flat to at least the folded end area of the functional layer of the lining (2).
