[origin: WO9725552A1] A belt (3) for the transmission of torque between two or more rotatable bodies (1, 2) consists of a traction belt (4) which can be subjected to tractive loads and co-operates with a sliding belt (6) that is subject to pressure, is movable in its longitudinal direction and acts upon the rotary bodies (1, 2) for the transmission of the forces connected with the torque. To avoid fatigue loading in the traction belt (4), the traction belt and sliding belt co-operate with the help of a bearing system (8) where devices are provided to limit or prevent longitudinal movement of the traction belt (4).
