[origin: DE19700880A1] The X-ray microscope where zone plates effect a monochrome condenser and a micro-objective lens, where the novelty is that at least one zone plate (4) which has a high aspect ratio (H/P) and transmission ratio (P1/P2) which is less than one, is located on the optical axis (3). Pref., the aspect ratio (H/P) increases towards the periphery of the zone plate (4). A central region of the zone plate (4) is X-ray absorbent. The zones (6,7) of the zone plate can be parallel to or inclined with respect to the optical axis (3).
