[origin: EP0873804A1] Clamping of the two broad-side walls (1) of a continuous casting mould, with the interposed narrow-side walls (20) by means of steel drawbars (4) in combination with adjusting elements such as screw connections, spring packages, wedges and hydraulic units. The drawbars take the form of bars with one smooth (40) and one screw-threaded (41) end, respectively with clamping elements (10) and nuts (42), and preferably also with spring packages (11, 14). The clamping elements and nuts are installed with a given clamping force and a preliminary tightness respectively.
