Abstract (en)
The instrument monitors moving parts of a loom. It produces one or more optical beams. Its e.g. optical cables (5, 6) are connected to an analysis unit (10). A casing (16) protects each cable in the new design. In addition, an air distribution unit (15) is connected to each protective casing. This produces a flow of e.g. air along the cables, and at their free ends. Also claimed is the corresponding loom which includes the instrument described.

Die Vorrichtung umfasst mindestens eine Lichtschranke (1) mit zwei Lichtleitern (5, 6) und eine Auswerteinrichtung (8). Jeder Lichtleiter (5, 6) ist in einer Schlauchleitung (16) angeordnet, die an einen Luftverteiler (15) angeschlossen ist, um einen Luftstrom entlang der Lichtleiter und an deren freien Enden zu erzeugen. Die Vorrichtung erweist sich als vielseitig einsetzbar, z.B. zur Ueberwachung von Greifern, Fadenvorlegern usw. und von Schussfäden. <IMAGE>
