Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0874195A1] The grate consists of alternate stationary (5) and movable (6) plates. The movable plates are each driven by a hydraulic cylinder-piston unit (18,19). Water-cooled hollow profiled sections (8,9) flank the grate and are joined at right-angles by screwed-on horizontal spacer pipes (3,4). There are two further hollow profiles (10,11) for air and cooling water between the hollow planks (8,9). The movable grate plates rest on at least one steel roller (16,17) on their reverse side. On their front side is a steel roll (20,21).
