[origin: EP0874373A1] The conductor manufacturing method involves using a number of individually insulated partial conductors (1) with a rectangular cross-section, which are twisted together before application of an outer bandage formed from a wound paper strip (5). A tear cord (4) beneath the outer bandage is incorporated. An adhesive band (6) extending parallel to the longitudinal axis of the conductor is applied to the outer surface of the wound bandage, for temporarily holding the bandage windings together.
