There is provided a method of manufacturing an oxide superconducting magnet system suitable to use an oxide superconductor in which parts of an oxide superconducting persistent current magnet comprising a superconducting magnet 1, a persistent current switch 4, and current leads 6 for superconductively connecting the superconducting magnet 1 and the persistent current switch 4 which are made of oxide superconducting materials are preliminarily formed in predetermined shapes and arrangement, connecting ends of the parts are come into contact with each other in connecting parts 7 and are simultaneously subjected to heat treatment for a partial melting followed by solidification to thereby make the parts including the connecting parts 7 superconductors, and after that, a cooling system of a predetermined construction necessary to operate the persistent current magnet is formed. <IMAGE>
