[origin: DE19601256C1] The invention relates to a device for guiding moving letters and parcels (10) past at least one ink-jet printing head (3), with a conveyer belt and a cover belt (2, 4) and a guide frame (1) to prevent ink droplet deposition in the region of the printing heads (3) caused by air turbulence at the edges. The printing heads (3) are arranged in recesses in the frame (1). According to the invention, flow ducts (6) are provided along the direction of transport of the parcels at least in the region surrounding the printing heads (3) in the frame (1) and are deep enough to prevent stall. Narrow ridges are provided between the flow ducts (6) for guiding the parcels. Narrow guide elements (7) extend from the ridges above the ink-jet printing heads (3) where the printing nozzles (5) are exposed. The ridges and guide elements (7) downstream of a given printing head (3) in the direction of transport are lower than the preceding regions to prevent touching of the printed articles.
