Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0875169A1] An applicator (1) is made with two application zones (2, 7), the first having a series of projections and recesses (5) designed to pick up the product, transfer it to the surface on which it is to be applied and deposit it there. The second zone is located adjacent to the first and is made at least partly from a material able to pump the product deeply and/or be made from natural or synthetic fibres. The second zone (7) preferably forms an angle of 2-45 degrees , more preferably 5-30 degrees with the axis (X) of the first zone, and is made e.g. in the form of a brush, a felt tip or a foam tip, preferably from natural or synthetic fibres, such as polyamide, polyester or nylon, or a foam made from polyurethane, polyethylene, PVC, polyether or natural or synthetic rubber. The first zone is preferably made from a thermoplastic such as polyethylene, polypropylene, polyacetal, polyurethane, PVC, polystyrene, from polyester or polyether bloc amides, polyvinyl, ethylene terpolymers, EPDM, SEBS-SIS, silicone, nitrile or butyl elastomers.
