[origin: EP0875299A1] In a wire enamelling line having a varnish applicator and a radiant-heated continuous enamelling furnace, the enamelling furnace (2) has a single chamber (4) containing an atmosphere with a controlled oxygen content of less than 6% to provide combined solvent evaporation, varnish baking and flame-less solvent vapour combustion in contact with the radiant heating elements (7) of the furnace.
