[origin: EP0875338A2] A grinder-ring is turned in steps on its axis by distances depending on the space between the blades. Several grinder-tools travel in the direction of the axis of the knife-ring so as to sharpen individual blades. The grinder tools are fixed together. The total amount of metal pared off is reached when the last grinder tool has turned in the ring's revolution. At least one of the grinder tools is a cup wheel.
