[origin: EP0875466A1] The tie strap is used to embrace, retain, and bundle objects, and is made from a synthetic material. It has a profiled strap component with two parallel longitudinal webs and transverse (4) rungs with rounded end walls (5). It also has a head component (10) with an inclined, spring-loaded locking element (12) which is arranged inside an opening (11), and whose end has a camber (13) in which the rounded end wall of a rung can be set. At least those rungs which work in combination with the locking element each have a lug (15) which is opposite the rounded end wall, and which is supported by a counter-lug (16) on the head component, when the strap is closed. The counter-lug may be arranged on a plate (18) on the head component, which lies opposite the locking element.
