[origin: EP0875652A2] The profiled rails (20) are inserted between the adjacent glass or plastics panes (2,3) at least at the edges. The profiled rail extends round the entire periphery of the panes and is joined directly or indirectly to the panes by adhesive (4) applied into the edge part between the profiled rail and spacer rails. The profiled rail has at least one freely cantilevered arm (5) embedded in the adhesive and which has ridges, grooves or serrations. The profiled rail has at least two contact surfaces or lugs (19,21) and has strips (7) fitting into a groove (8) or corresponding opening on the hollow or solid frame (9).

Bei einem Isolierelement (1) sind zwei mit Abstand aufeinander folgende Scheiben (2, 3) über einen Kleber (4) fest miteinander verbunden. In diesen am Randbereich zwischen den Scheiben eingesetzten Kleber (4) greifen Stege (5) von sich abschnittweise über einen Teil vom Scheibenumfang erstreckenden Profilschienen (20) oder -teilen ein, so daß die Profilschienen (20) oder -teile fest in das Isolierelement (1) integriert sind. Bei der Montage des Isolierelementes (1) in einem Rahmen (9) können von den Profilschienen (20) oder -teilen federnd abstehende Laschen (7) in eine im Rahmen (9) vorbereitete Nut (8) einrasten, so daß die Montage des Isolierelementes (1) in dem Rahmen (9) ohne zusätzliche Rahmenteile oder Befestigungsmittel möglich ist. <IMAGE>
