Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0875673A2] The operating control method detects the position of the throttle pedal and the engine revs, for ascertaining the idling condition of the engine, with calculation of a torque value (TQ-1-PD) using a characteristic field (KF1) addressed by the rev differential (N- GRD) and the difference (N-DIF) between the actual revs and a given revs value. The required engine torque (TQ-IS-XSP) is determined using the calculated torque and at least one monitored engine operating parameter, used for providing a setting signal for adjusting a setting element for the engine.
