[origin: WO9726809A1] The supporting rod system consists of a socket (200) and a supporting rod (100) which can be engaged with or disengaged from said socket (200) by means of a few manipulations. The socket (200) can be directly inserted in a rear wall (500) or a panel (400) or applied to the rear of the panel (400). Likewise, the socket (200) may be fitted in or on a stand component. The insertion end (101) of the supporting rod (100), a pipe section, has an engagement system (300) with an actuatable level component (350) with a movable pawl (370) which engages fully in an engagement section (230) in the socket (200). The supporting rod (100) itself can be used for suspending goods or a goods support may be secured on one or more supporting rods (100). The sockets (200) may be regularly distributed over a back wall or a stand component.
