[origin: EP0876777A1] The container (D) comprises a tube (1) which is open at one end (16), a cup (7) at the other end to hold the stick product (B), and a removable cap (2) with a seal (18) inside its closed end (17). The seal comprises at least one block (19) of a compressible elastic cellular material which fits against the upper edge (14a) of the tube (1) when the cap is in the closed position. The cellular material is e.g. of polyethylene, PVC, polyether or silicone foam, with a facing layer of aluminium foil, metal/plastic, ceramic, plastic or leather; the plastic layer can be of an elastomer, polyethylene, polypropylene, EVA or EVOH. A second seal (15) is fitted between the cup and the other end of the tube.
