Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0876969A2] The flexible bulk material container is made of plastics in the form of woven, high-strength textile fibres or bands. In the new construction, these form two or more layers of the same or differing plastics. One layer includes ultraviolet stabilisation. This allows photochemical decomposition of the layer as a function of a given irradiation energy, received over an interval. By the end of the appointed time, decomposition has occurred, leaving the layer with less than the original strength. Preferably the plastics is low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, linear low density polyethylene, polypropylene, polyamide, polyester, ethylene vinyl acetate ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymers, polystyrene, ionomers or combinations.
