[origin: EP0877115A2] The suction assembly (100), to extract water from wet and air permeable textile piecegoods (W), has a sieve cylinder (10) formed by a continuous fine-mesh woven wire material which is pliable and has no reinforcement in respect of its cross section shape. The mesh is moved round the suction chamber (20) with only a very low draw tension, so that it rotates practically loosely. The sieve cylinder (10) supports rotate round themselves on a vertical plane to the longitudinal direction of the cylinder (10).
