[origin: WO9728979A1] A profiled seal (1) is fastened to a flange (2) of a car body opening which can be closed by a closure member (4). The profiled seal (1) has a support part (6) and a resilient sealing part (12) fastened thereto and co-operating with the closure member (4). The sealing part (12) has a first hollow section (13) which is fastened to the support part (6). A hollow space (18) of a second hollow section (17) is partially bounded by a carrier wall (19) of the first hollow section (13). A sealing wall (21) of the second hollow section (17) co-operates with the closure member (4) to form a seal. The hollow space (18) of the second hollow section (17) is also bounded by a support wall (20) supported on the carrier wall (19).
