Abstract (en)
[origin: DE19647587A1] Fuel injection valves in which a fuel filter is inserted or pressed into the end of a fuel inlet manifold on the inlet side are already known per se. Interaction between the fuel filter and the through-passing fuel can however cause the filter to expand or contract. This can result in impaired sealing between the fuel filter and the inlet manifold. The novel fuel injection valve possesses a fuel inlet manifold (60) with a swelling inside (67) and slanting flank areas (80, 81). A holder section (50) of the fuel filter (61) is designed with a groove (69) which interacts with the swelling (67) to form a snap-in connection. According to the invention the groove (69) is so shaped that the holder section (50) of the fuel filter (61) is fitted closely to and seals the sloping flank areas (80,81) of the swelling (67).
