[origin: EP0878428A2] A roller on a carrier for winding a bobbin is pressed against the surface of the bobbin. The roller carrier or the bobbin spindle carrier have a movement in a radial direction to the bobbin for the roller or the bobbin carrier, which increases the gap between the axes of the pressure roller and the bobbin holder. The movement is through a number of successive pulsed clamping movements of the moving carriers in an interrupted action. An apparatus may have a clamp (31) linked to the moving carrier (8), controlled by a pulse generator (32) to clamp or release the carrier.
