[origin: EP0878578A2] The valve or throttle unit (1), for fibre suspensions, has a divided hollow body (2) forming the hollow zone (2.1) so that, after opening, all the inner surfaces in front of the opening are accessible for cleaning without disconnecting the valve from the feed and/or outlet channels. Also claimed is an operation where the valve or throttle remains connected to the feed and outlet channels while a further opening in the valve housing is opened. The unit to change the cross section is removed from the housing, and the original inner surfaces are accessible for cleaning.
