[origin: EP0878785A2] The universal security element is in the form of a label (1) attached to the article and has an electromagnetic resonance circuit (2) which unless disabled when passed through a detector field triggers an alarm. An inner electromagnetic resonance circuit (3) has specific coded information that identifies the article. The label may have one or more of these identifying labels.
