[origin: EP0878817A1] The circuit breaker has an inner gas filled bulb (15) with a fixed (15G) and moving arcing contacts (15D), the latter moving in a longitudinal direction. A lever (171) swung from a fixed contact section (4) provides synchronisation, by moving the moving arcing contact. The arm is connected to a spring (19). A switching unit (23) with an intermediate inclined section (21B) provides a sliding support. The switching blocks or unblocks the movement of the moving arcing contact dependent on position.
