[origin: WO9808443A1] The invention relates to a device for the performing of Doppler examinations of leg veins with a cuff-shaped belt (4) which encloses the leg by means of a fastening device (2, 3, 5) through which the belt can be loosened or tightened, and a ring (1) which is joined to the belt (4) at two opposite points or so designed that it engages into the fastening device (3), whereby the ring (1) provides annular compression of the surface veins when the belt is tightened. This device enables Doppler examinations to be carried out with less force. The examination becomes more precise and thereby more elegant. In addition, the device requires simply the use of an inexpensive bi-directional Doppler.
