[origin: WO9728789A1] A method of making a soluble solid delivery system form comprising the steps of: (a) combining, in substantially dry form, components comprising a diluent, an amount of binder sufficient to increse the hardness of the components and/or the dosage form to an acceptable level; an amount of an active agent such that the dosage form contains an effective amount of active agent, and an amount of volatile salt effective to decrease the weight and increase the surface area of the dosage form formed when removed; (b) processing the product of step (a) to form a substantially homogeneous mixture; (c) forming a delivery system from the powder of step (b); and (d) volatilizing the volatile salt or a component thereof from the delivery system.
