[origin: WO9727957A1] The machine proposed is designed to bend a sheet into a cylindrical hollow body. It may, for instance, be a triple-roller machine in which the roller section designed to grip the sheet is delimited by two pillars (11) designed to apply the bending force to the upper roller (5) and spaced a distance d apart which is set to suit the length of the sheet to be bent. Each pillar (11) includes two vertical sidepieces (12) plus a yoke which links the upper ends of the two sidepieces to each other and which has a slide fitted with support rollers for the upper roller (5). The lower ends of the sidepieces (12) are seated in horizontal guideways on the frame (4) carrying the rollers (6, 7). The pillars (11) can also be moved horizontally, thus enabling the distance d between them to be adjusted to suit the length of the sheet to be bent.
