Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0879656A1] Tooling for press shaping a hole (2) with a truncated mouth (3) in a metal strip (4), comprising at least one punch (9) and a die (10) with the following characteristics: a) the punch (9) incorporates a cylindrical part (11) of diameter (12) adjusted to that (13) of the hole (2) to be cut in the strip (4). This cylindrical part (11) makes up the extension of a truncated part (14) by pressing of the truncated opening (3); b) the die (10) incorporates a boring (15) with its section (16) adjusted to that of the cylindrical part (11) of the punch (9). The boring (15) presents, at the level of its wall (17), at least one groove (18, 18A) emerging in the upper face (19) of the die (10), facing the strip (4) to be shaped. These grooves (18, 18A) and the axis (20) of the boring (15) are aligned (21) essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis (22) of the strip (4) during shaping. Also claimed is a headstall produced by this tooling equipment.
