[origin: EP0879786A2] The monitoring device has a camera (12), e.g. a video camera, viewing at least part of the area round the truck, and a monitor screen in the cab to displace the camera signals. The fork, or preferably a free end sector (13) of it, has a recess or receiver (14). The camera fits entirely inside this receiver. The receiver may be in the region of the rear wall (16) of one tine (18) of the fork. The receiver may be symmetrical to the central longitudinal axis of the tine.
