[origin: EP0879901A1] A coating which protects metal components against corrosion in a saline atmosphere comprises a base layer of alloy containing zinc and 10-16% by weight of nickel and a top layer of alloy containing tin and 8-35% of Zn, the base and top comprising two thirds and one third respectively of the coating thickness. Also claimed is a metal component with this coating.
