According to the invention, the relative displacements (S) of the washing assembly (13) and the outer stationary structure (14) of a washing machine are converted into corresponding pressure variations ( DELTA p), which are used in a measurement and control arrangement of the manometric type to modify, if necessary, operation parameters of the machine accordingly. USE: Clothes washing and similar machines with a rotating drum. PURPOSE/ADVANTAGES: The dynamic trim of the washing assembly is ensured in a substantially unsophisticated, but effective manner. <IMAGE>
