Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0880201A2] The safety plug has a housing formed from two cooperating half shells, enclosing a fuse element fitted between the pin contacts (5,6). These have contact tongues for the fuse at right angles to the flat projecting contact pins for connection to a terminal rail (20). Both housing half shells are provided as flat parts which are secured together by a film hinge, with the separation plane lying in the plane of the flat contact tongues. The fuse extends across the plug at 90 degrees to the contact tongues.
