Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9822192A1] The invention relates to an improved recoil blocking device for vehicles (1) used in roller coasters, monorails and the like. In order to avoid ratchet noises arising from previously known ratchet locking mechanisms of said recoil blocking device, the invention provides a ratchet gear (21) configured as an eddy-current drive, which separates the ratchet (2) from the locking notch (5) when the vehicle (1) is moving forward and lets the ratchet (2) fall into place in the locking notch (5) when the vehicle (1) is stationary or moving backwards. The ratchet (2) is fitted rotationally in the vehicle, whereas the locking notch (5) is permanently fixed in as a steering rack in a hill section on the track area (4).
